One Week Left in Orange County

Yesterday we had Autumn, Cassidy, Casey, and Meagan all together for a massive Braii over at the Jelbert's house because our place is a bit bare (see photo of Aus and Carol eating on the floor). One week before we vacate our place and head north!

Going Away Roda

You know you're really leaving when you've had your "Going Away Roda" with your Capoeira friends. I'm going to miss these guys a lot... Once I recover from the beating I got tonight.

25 Days until Takeoff

We are getting excited about leaving for our trip! But, lots to do before we head out. We have been beginning to pack up the house and have been explaining to the BHV and the OEM about what's going on. (We still haven't mentioned to them that they're not coming...shhhh)

An Expected Journey

It's actually happening...

Carol and I are now just over two weeks from beginning yet another stage in our life journey together and we are very excited!!!

Despite our love/hate relationship with technology and especially that of impersonal methods of communication, we finally decided that it would be worthwhile to have a shared repository for our memories while we are on the road. A place where our close friends and family could catch up with our travels at their own leisure. For that reason, we will be using this site to post most of our stories and pictures in order to minimize our time spent on computers.

Anyway, we would be blessed if you would use this travel journal to keep in touch with us, and also guide your prayers. Please feel free to share the link with anyone that would be interested in following our progress around the world.
